Manchester United's De Gea rules out Real Madrid move

The Red Devils' goalkeeper was reported to be homesick amid growing speculation he would return to his native Spain, but he has expressed his desire to stay at Old Trafford
Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea insists that he is not looking to move to Real Madrid.

The youngster is said to be a target for Jose Mourinho as a long-term replacement for Los Blancos and Spain No.1 Iker Casillas but has made it clear that he is ready to stay in England and fight to become Sir Alex Ferguson's first choice shot-stopper.

"I am happy at United and not thinking about a return to Spain," De Gea told The Sun.

"I've accepted the challenge to learn and improve as a professional and fighting for my place gives me a bigger incentive to play well."

The Spaniard has yet to nail down his first-team spot at Old Trafford as he continues to rotate with Anders Lindegaard.
De Gea is, however, set to start Sunday's crucial Premier League game against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge as the Dane is ruled out with a thumb injury. Victory for the Red Devils would see them reclaim second position in the Premier League table behind the Blues.
