Pacheco unsurprised by Liverpool team-mate Suso's impact

The Spanish youngster is not shocked to see the impression his compatriot has made on the squad as the pair have been shining for the Reds' first team in the current campaign

Liverpool attacker Dani Pacheco has praised his fellow countryman Suso for the quality he has shown for the first team this season.

The 18-year old Suso made his debut for the Reds' senior squad during the Europa League clash against Young Boys in September and gone on to impress in subsequent first-team appearances.

However, former Rayo Vallecano loanee Pacheco was already aware of the skill that the Spain Under-19 international possesses, and has predicted that he will become a star.

"He hasn't surprised me," Pacheco told Liverpool's official website.

"I know how well he can play, how he can change games and how confident he is on the ball.

"He can play against Manchester United or any team in the league and there won't be any nerves. He'll get on the ball and play football. He got a chance and he's taken it.

"He can be as good as he wants to be. We don't have to put any pressure on him - we have to let him enjoy his football and keep doing what he's doing. He is still very young, every player needs to improve and every player will get better and better if he keeps playing."

Pacheco also took time to back the other youngsters that Brendan Rodgers has given chances to season, such as Andre Wisdom, Raheem Sterling, Adam Morgan and Jack Robinson.

"I think they have been great - Suso, Raheem, Andre and everyone are taking their chances.

"Brendan is giving them the chance some other managers never gave them.

"They are taking their chance, working very hard in training and they're not relaxing. They want to be in the team every week and they're showing that in the games."
