The Belgium international striker has enjoyed an impressive opening to his Premier League career and admits that he has kicked off better than he could have expected
The 24-year-old moved to Goodison Park from Olympiakos in the summer and a recent run of fine performances have seen him become an integral part of David Moyes' side.
And the Belgium international claims that his instant impact on the Toffees' fortunes is attributable to a combination of help from his team-mates and time on the pitch.
"It's going a lot better than I could have hoped for," he told the club's official website. "The settling-in period has been a lot shorter than I thought it was going to be.

"The other big factor is that I've spent a lot more time on the field and played in more games than I thought I might have done at first."
Despite impressing with three goals in seven appearances so far, Mirallas insists that his best is yet to come once he reaches full fitness.
"I'm still not quite there physically," he added.
"I still need a good run of games to be 100 per cent fit. I had a chat with the manager when I first came here and he was fully aware that I hadn't had a full pre-season because I'd had a problem with my knee. I'm trying to catch up on that by playing games.
"I knew before I signed about the physical aspect of the Premier League," he added. "I was mentally prepared for that before I even came here.
"One of the advantages of the way I play is that I am quick, so I try to avoid those hard challenges that skilful players with ability like myself tend to attract."
