The high-flying Swans have been dealt another defensive blow with the newly signed former Arsenal youngster joining long-term absentee Neil Taylor on the sidelines

Swansea City defender Kyle Bartley has been ruled out of action for three months after rupturing a thigh muscle.

The 21-year-old moved to the Liberty Stadium over the summer from Arsenal and made his debut for the club in the League Cup.

Bartley has previously spent spells on loan at Sheffield United and Rangers and has represented England and Under-16 and Under-17 levels.

Swansea have enjoyed an impressive start to the season, taking seven points from their opening three games and face Aston Villa at Villa Park at the weekend.
