The versatile Spurs left back arrives on a season-long loan at the Stadium of Light in search of first team football on deadline day after Kieran Richardson's departureSunderland have signed Tottenham left back Danny Rose on a season-long loan.
The 22-year-old, who can also play on the the left of midfield, arrives at the Wearside club in replacement for the versatile left-sided Kieran Richardson, who joined Fulham earlier on the transfer window's deadline day.
Rose will hope to earn regular first team football at the Stadium of Light after making 20 appearances for Spurs last season, having previously gone out on loan to Championship sides Watford, Peterborough and Bristol City.
He has featured heavily for the England under-21 side in the past year, and earnt a call up to Team GB's Olympic squad this summer.
His signing is Mackems manager Martin O'Neill's fifth of the transfer window, having brought in defender Carlos Cuellar, winger Adam Johnson, and strikers Louis Saha and Steven Fletcher.
