The 17-year-old has impressed the club's hierarchy with his performances in both his starts against Hearts and Manchester City, and will now continue his development at Anfield
Winger Raheem Sterling will not be leaving Liverpool on loan, according to his manager Brendan Rodgers.
The 17-year-old has shone during the first-team opportunities afforded to him at the start of this Premier League season, especially in the club’s 2-2 draw with Manchester City at Anfield on Sunday.
And such impressive performances have not gone unnoticed by the Liverpool hierarchy, with Rodgers making a U-turn on his initial thoughts to let the young winger leave on loan.
Rodgers told reporters: “I’ve seen a lot of development in him in a short time. He takes on a lot of the concepts and is good with instructions.”

The Ulsterman was previously thought to be open-minded in allowing Sterling to continue his footballing education elsewhere but admits the Jamaican-born player’s rapid development has forced his hand somewhat.
Rodgers highlighted Sterling’s tactical awareness as another key reason why he will continue his progression at Anfield.
He added: “Normally wingers want to do their own thing but he’s tactically improving every day. He certainly won’t be going on loan.”
