thumbnail Hello,

The European champions are hoping to carry on their 100 per cent start to the season in the home encounter against Brian McDermott's club, with two changes apiece for the sides

Chelsea have made two changes to the side that beat Wigan on Saturday, with Gary Cahill replacing the injured David Luiz and Ramires returning in place of Ryan Bertrand, as they take on Premier League new-boys Reading at Stamford Bridge.

Eden Hazard is set to make his home debut for the Blues, but Bertrand drops back to the bench after a disappointing game at Wigan.

Oscar finds himself on the bench for the second game in a row, whilst Daniel Sturridge also has to be content with a place among the subs.

Tonight's game marks the first time Chelsea have played in front of their own fans since their Champions' League triumph, with a full house expected for the first home game of the season.

Reading have made two changes to their team that drew with Stoke on the opening day, bringing in Jem Karacan in midfield in place of Adam le Fondre, as they switch to a 4-5-1 formation. The other change sees Garath McCleary return on the wing in place of Hal Robson-Kanu.

Reading lined up with a 4-4-2 at the Madejski on Saturday, but have decided to field a more defensive side for their trip to Stamford Bridge tonight, adding a third central midfielder in order to counter the threat of Chelsea's attacking trio of Hazard, Juan Mata and Frank Lampard.

Chelsea starting XI:
Cech; Ivanovic, Cole, Cahill, Terry (c); Mikel, Hazard, Ramires, Lampard, Mata; Torres.

Subs: Turnbull, Bertrand, Essien, Romeu, Oscar, Meireles, Sturridge.

Reading starting XI: Federici; Gunter, Pearce, Gorkss, Harte; Leigertwood, Guthrie, Karacan, McAnuff, McCleary; Pogrebnyak.

Subs: McCarthy, Cummings, Mariappa, Tabb, Robson-Kanu, Hunt, Le Fondre.
