Reading winger Jordan Obita has joined Portsmouth on a one-month loan deal.

The midfielder put the finishing touches to a short-term on Tuesday and made an immediate impact, scoring late on in the financially-stricken club's 2-2 draw with Colchester United in a League One clash.

Obita, who has had previous loan spells with Gillingham and Barnet, is yet to make a league appearance for the Berkshire club, but has been used by manager Brian McDermott in the League Cup.

The 18-year-old will now look to gain valuable experience in League One at crisis club Pompey, who also have Royals goalkeeper Mikkel Anderson currently on a one month loan contract.
