The Gunners captain, who announced his intention to leave the club in an open letter to fans last month, flew out with his team-mates and Arsene Wenger on Monday ahead of a friendly with Koln this weekend
The Dutchman has attracted interest from Juventus, Manchester City and Manchester United after openly questioning the ambition of the north London outfit on July 4, with Arsenal having finished their seventh consecutive season without a trophy, 19 points behind the Manchester duo.

Olivier Giroud and Lukas Podolski, who could face his old club in Sunday's friendly at RheinEnergieStadion, have already been recruited by Wenger during the summer transfer window, with the Gunners looking to bolster their attacking options after a mixed campaign last term.
Nicklas Bendtner is believed to have been left behind in London after being told that he can find a new club this summer, while Aaron Ramsey may join the squad later in the week after he recovers from Team GB's Olympic football campaign.
The Gunners' clash with Koln on Sunday will be their final pre-season fixture of the summer before Wenger's men host Sunderland at the Emirates to kick off their Premier League campaign on August 18.
