With Malaga star Santi Cazorla having been linked to north London, the Gunners boss reveals that Lukas Podolski and Olivier Giroud will not be the only new faces this summer
Lukas Podolski and Olivier Giroud have both been recruited to the Emirates Stadium in the off-season but, as well as welcoming some familiar faces back from injury, the Gunners boss has confirmed that he will still be active before the window closes.
"You see I have come here to say as little as possible!" Wenger quipped to the assembled media in Beijing, where his side will play Manchester City in a friendly on Friday.
"I am ready to talk a lot, but not a lot about transfers, because it is a very fragile subject and a very secret subject.
"We bought Giroud and Podolski and I hope that we bought [Abou] Diaby and [Jack] Wilshere too, who didn't play at all last season. We will add Wilshere to the squad as soon as possible. But we are not at the end of [the transfer window] - we will still bring players in."
Malaga attacking midfielder Santi Cazorla has been heavily linked with a move to north London, with The Guardian reporting that the Gunners are hopeful of success with a £15.6 million [€20m] bid, though Wenger has ruled out a move for long-time link Yann M'Vila of Rennes.
Asked for an update on the future of want-away captain Robin van Persie, however, Wenger only responded: "There is nothing to elaborate.
"The options are clear - we want to keep our players. I would be happy for him to stay in the English Premier League - at Arsenal."
