The Ligue 1 outfit are in a position where they must sell some of their most prized assets if they wish to bring in any new players before the close of the summer transfer window
The Ligue 1 outfit are in financial trouble and sporting director Jose Anigo has already admitted that they must sell before they can buy this summer, prompting speculation that the club could look to cash in on the sought-after forward, with Spurs an interested party.
"I am contracted to Marseille but if the club wants to sell me, there is not much I can do about it," the France international told Sky Sports.
"The transfer window closes on August 31, so there is plenty of time [for something to happen]."
