The Germany international, who will be a free agent next summer, was revealed by Goal.com in July to be a target for Liverpool, along with club colleague Julian Draxler.
But, while the 21-year-old claims he has no interest in leaving Gelsenkirchen just yet, he would love to test himself in England one day.
"The Premier League is a goal at some point," Holtby told Goal.com after Schalke's 1-0 friendly defeat to AC Milan on Tuesday evening.
"As a footballer, you want to improve always, and in football everything is possible.
"But I'm comfortable at Schalke. My contract runs until 2013 - my agent looks after everything else."
Holtby, who has already been capped twice by his country, joined Schalke from Alemannia Aachen in 2009.
