Sam Allardyce has continued to strengthen his Hammers squad ahead of their Premier League return with the signing of a third goalkeeper in the shape of the Swiss shotstopper
West Ham United have completed the signing of the promising Switzerland Under-20 international goalkeeper Raphael Spiegel on a three-year contract.
The 19 year-old joins the Hammers from Grasshopper Zurich for an undisclosed fee, becoming the third goalkeeper to join the club this summer, after Jussi Jaaskelainen and Stephen Henderson.
The keeper arrives at the club having represented his country at Under-17, Under-18, Under-19 and Under-20 level, whilst also making over 50 appearances in Swiss league football, during spells with Grasshopper's second-string and a loan stint with SC Bruhl last season.
The teenager will link up with Sam Allardyce and the rest of the squad this week at their Chadwell Heath training ground as they continue preparations ahead of their return to the Premier League this season.
West Ham kick off their Premier League campaign against Aston Villa at Upton Park on August 18.
