Tottenham defender Steven Caulker has signed a new four-year contract with the club after impressing last year on loan at Swansea City.

The 20-year-old had a number of good displays for the Welsh side in their first campaign in the Premier League, also establishing himself as a regular in the England Under-21 set-up.

He has also been called into this summer's Team GB football squad for the London 2012 Olympics, and has now put pen to paper on a deal lasting until 2016.

Caulker has been with Spurs since youth-team level, having loan spells at Yeovil Town, Bristol City and Swansea in the process, but he looks set to stay at White Hart Lane this season after his impressive performances last year.
