The Royals, who finished last season as champions, kick off their campaign with a home game against Stoke at the Madejski Stadium and finish with a trip to Upton Park
Brian McDermott's newly-promoted Reading side begin their top-flight campaign with a home fixture against Stoke and they face Martin O'Neill's Sunderland at the Stadium of Light the week after with their first away trip.They look as if they're going to face a difficult run of fixtures around the Christmas period, though, with games against Manchester United, Arsenal and Manchester City all in the space of a few weeks.
Their run-in includes away trips to Norwich and Fulham as well as a meeting with West Ham at Upton Park on the final day.
