The Championship outfit have rubbished reports that the Magpies have bid for the young full-back, although claiming that there is interest from the Tyneside club
Crystal Palace have denied reports that Newcastle United have made an offer for their highly rated full-back Nathaniel Clyne.
The Eagles have revealed that there are no bids on the table for the 21-year-old as of yet but claim that the Magpies have been one of many clubs monitoring the player's progress at the club.
As well as the Magpies' interest English sides Manchester United and Reading have been linked with Clyne, with Goal.com exclusively revealing Dutch club Ajax are also lining up a move for the player when his contract expires this summer.
Despite all of the speculated interest co-chairman Steve Parish told South London Press: "I read them [the rumours of a Newcastle bid] and they are not true.
"It's completely made up - I hate using those words but they just got bad information.
"I had a chat to people a while ago and they do quite like him - but that doesn't mean they are going to buy him."
Clyne has caught the eye of these big names after making 138 appearances for the club, whilst also gaining international recognition with England Under-21s.
