The midfielder has dismissed quotes attributed to him by French television saying that Arsenal regularly "settle for second best", claiming that he said nothing of the sort
The France international was heavily criticised for leaving the Gunners in the summer, with fans claiming that his £24 million move was all about money, and French TV channel TF1 quoted him says that Arsenal regularly “settle for second best”.
"People at Arsenal tried to make out that I came here for the money,” he is quoted as saying.

"If all that I was interested in was money, the easiest decision would have been to stay at Arsenal, picking up my money every week and walking into the team.
"I now hope the Arsenal fans can get on with their lives and forget me, they should celebrate their third-place achievement and I will focus on winning titles."
However, using his Twitter account on Thursday, Nasri has dismissed the quotes as false.
He stated: "Wow just saw the article... my apologies to the arsenal fans i never said something like this."
