The boss hopes the crocked defensive duo will win their race to be fit for the European showpiece, while Florent Malouda limped off at half-time against Blackburn on Sunday
Chelsea interim manager Roberto Di Matteo has revealed that David Luiz and Gary Cahill are yet to recover from their hamstring injuries ahead of Saturday’s Champions League final against Bayern Munich.
With the suspension of John Terry and Branislav Ivanovic for the May 19 showpiece, the crocked duo were each yet to return to training, raising the possibility of fielding no regular centre-back in the final.

He admitted their fight to get over their hamstring injuries would "probably" continue right up to the day of the final, telling reporters: "They are getting better day by day.
“We're going to try to push them this week in training and see how far we can take them."
Despite resting much of his likely line-up for Munich against Blackburn on Sunday, midfielder Florent Malouda could be a costly absence after sustaining an injury shortly before half-time, with midfielders Ramires and Raul Meireles suspended.
The Blues boss commented: "We took him off - precautionary - with a little problem with his hamstring. Hopefully he'll recover as soon as possible.”
