Stracqualursi inspired by early struggles at Everton

The Argentine striker admits that he found it hard to adapt to life on Merseyside at first, but believes those difficulties only made him stronger in his hunt for a permanent deal
Everton striker Denis Stracqualursi believes that his early-season problems on Merseyside have inspired him to succeed for the Toffees.

The Argentine striker, on loan from Tigre, described his initial struggle to settle in the UK but is now ready to contribute to Everton's run-in, with a permanent move to the Premier League possibly in his sights.

"There were tough times at the beginning of the season, it was difficult," he told the Liverpool Daily Post.

"First and foremost, the language made things a bit harder. I wasn’t understanding things and I wasn’t able to express myself.
6/1 Denis Stracqualursi is 13/2 with Paddy Power to score the opening goal in Everton's meeting with Fulham on Saturday.

"But all that served to do was to give me more desire and make me more determined to achieve my objective, which was to play and score goals.

"Whether things turn out well or badly, I’ve always had the idea of giving everything."

Stracqualursi has found first-team opportunities limited of late since the arrival of Nikica Jelavic from Rangers, starting just two of Everton's last 11 games.
