Hughes: Taarabt will not be leaving QPR in the summer

The Rangers boss is adamant that the Moroccan forward will be staying in London come the end of the season, despite rumours linking him with other European clubs
QPR manager Mark Hughes says he has "no intention" of allowing Adel Taarabt to leave the west London club in the summer transfer window.

The Moroccan played a key role in the club's successful promotion from the Championship last season but has failed to replicate such performances in the Premier League this campaign.

Mark Hughes disappointed with defeat
The 22-year-old was heavily linked to Paris Saint-Germain last summer and has reportedly been targeted by Bundesliga side Wolfsburg for the upcoming transfer window.

But Hughes is adamant that the playmaker will remain at Loftus Road this summer, and has played down rumours linking him with a move away.

"I think there was speculation this week," Hughes told the Fulham & Hammersmith Chronicle.

"I'm unaware of [a potential move] and we've certainly not had any conversations in that regard and have no intention of allowing him to leave.

"He's a part of what we're trying to build on for the future and he is a big part of what we want to do in the future."
