The 23-year-old struggled to impress for the Gunners but has scored five goals in his last six league games for the San Sebastian side. However, the Mexican maintained that he is only interested in doing his best while on loan at the Basque club.
Vela told Marca: "I already said [in January] that I wanted to finish the season here, scoring as many goals as I could and getting as many assists as possible.

"I try to do my best and enjoy every moment at San Sebastian, because I do not know if I will stay here.
"Therefore, I must take advantage of every moment that remains and we'll see if I continue."
Vela has previously been on loan to Osasuna and spoke of his desire to continue his playing career in Spain.
"From my point of view, from a footballing and lifestyle standpoint, it is better to stay in this league," he said in a separate interview with Diario Vasco.
"I have a contract with an English team [Arsenal] and if I have to return there I will adapt, but if I could stay here I would be happier."
