But he could now be set to move on, with the Brazilian’s agent, Leo Scheinkmann, confirming to Goal.com that the Magpies have concrete interest in his client.
The centre-back is also believed to be keen on the switch, with a Twente source telling the Newcastle Chronicle: “It’s not a case of if Douglas wants to play in the Premier League – it’s simply when. He’s told the manager he wants to go.
