The Nigerian, who came off the bench to bag the second goal in the Toffees’ 2-0 win over West Brom on Saturday, has notched all four of his strikes this campaign as a substitute.
However, despite earning a reputation as a goal-scoring replacement, the 23-year-old is eager to force his way into David Moyes’ starting XI after recovering from a string of injuries.
"I can't rubbish the super-sub tag - I always seem to get a goal or something," Anichebe told The Daily Post.
"Whether it's coming off the bench or starting games, I'm not really bothered to be honest, but there will come a time when I'll have to start playing consecutive games all the time, not just coming in off the bench.

"But Everton are great, they've managed me well and hopefully they can get me playing a handful of games from the start."
Anichebe's goal last weekend helped lift his side up to seventh in the Premier League table, above Merseyside rivals Liverpool.
But he has managed just 12 appearances this season due to a series of niggling injuries and the form of January signing Nikica Jelavic.
