Ahead of his side's Premier League clash with Harry Redknapp's men on Saturday, the Blues goalkeeper expressed his belief that a Champions League place is still within reach
The race for Champions League qualification looks set for a tight finish with the Blues vying with their London rivals Arsenal and Tottenham to finish in one of the two available spots.
Cech believes that Roberto Di Matteo's side have an advantage over Harry Redknapp's men, whom they face at Stamford Bridge on Saturday, and is confident of overhauling the four-point gap between them.
When asked whether he feels his side are in the best position, Cech told The London Evening Standard: "I think yes.
"We have been together through so many situations in eight years and a lot of people here remember those, so we have the benefit of the experience of that.
"We seem to cope with the difficult situations quite well so, hopefully, this experience we've got throughout the years will help us reach our targets.
"We are approaching these next two games with confidence now. In football everything changes with positive results."
Chelsea can be backed at 11 with 188Bet to defeat second-placed Manchester City 1-0 on Wednesday night.
The Blues will then go on to face local rivals Spurs before their Champions League quarter-final against Benfica gets underway.
