Spurs manager reveals he is a big fan of the Belgian forward but admits there will be competition from Manchester City and Manchester United in the race for his signatureTottenham boss Harry Redknapp has confirmed he is interested in signing Lille winger Eden Hazard and admitted he is a big fan of the Belgian international.
The Spurs boss has made a number of trips to France to see Hazard and Marseille's Loic Remy as he looks to bolster his squad in the summer.
However, he faces big competition to sign the 21-year-old, with Manchester City and Manchester United both also interested in signing him.
Hazard has previously said he would be interested in a move to London as he would be 'guaranteed first team football' and, according to L'Equipe, Redknapp has now suggested a move is already being discussed.
"Our owner is willing to pay for an exceptional talent, like Eden Hazard," he said.
"I have seen him several times recently in Marseilles [in January] and then also against PSG in the final of the Coupe de France [last May].
"But I also know that Manchester United is looking at him and also Manchester City.
"It will be difficult to get him, but I like him a lot."
Redknapp also admitted that he was ready to make a personal check on Montpellier striker Olivier Giroud, who has been in flying form this season with 17 goals in 25 appearances.
"He looks good, I have read many good reports on him and I have a scout following the French championship," he said.
"If a player attracts my attention I will watch him play."
