Wenger claims Arsenal's squad has been 'decimated' after Liverpool win

The Frenchman is unsure of who he will have at his disposal on Tuesday evening as his side look to overturn a 4-0 deficit against AC Milan in the Champions League
Arsene Wenger claims his squad has been ‘decimated’ through injury following Arsenal's 2-1 victory over Liverpool.

Mikel Arteta suffered concussion after colliding with Jordan Henderson, which resulted in the Spaniard being stretchered off during the second half as a double from Robin van Persie boosted Arsenal's hopes of securing Champions League football next season.

Substitute Abou Diaby only lasted 27 minutes before hobbling off with a hamstring injury, while Yossi Benayoun and Kieran Gibbs are doubts ahead of Arsenal’s Champions League last-16 second-leg clash with AC Milan on Tuesday.

"The bad news of the day is that Diaby is injured and did his hamstring. Benayoun has a small hamstring problem, Gibbs has a problem," Wenger told the club's official website.

"We look decimated after the game."

Arsenal trail the Serie A champions by four goals after a commanding display from the Italian side at San Siro.

“I don't know who will be available on Tuesday night," said Wenger. "Maybe I will play with six strikers, as we have to score goals!"
