The Colombia international has revealed that he is being targetted by a number of Premier League clubs, but made clear that the Merseyside outfit are his preferred destinationJaguares striker Jackson Martinez has stated that European giants Liverpool are pursuing his signature.
In December last year it was reported that Porto were closing in on the purchase of the 25-year-old, but a deal never materialised.
Martinez has now claimed that Liverpool have expressed interest in securing his services, among other Premier League clubs.
Speaking to Medio Tiempo, the striker revealed that the Merseyside outfit are a "very good option", but stated that "several other clubs" are after his signature.
Martinez's other reported destinations include the likes of Wigan, Sunderland, Fulham and Everton, but such interest from these teams is yet to be confirmed.
It is rumoured that €12 million [£10m] will be enough to convince Jaguares to part ways from their star striker, who has bagged 28 goals in 54 appearances.
