Olympiakos striker Kevin Mirallas is a £6 million summer target for Newcastle United, Sunderland, Fulham and Everton, Goal.com can reveal.
The Belgium international, who has been in prolific form in Greece over the last two seasons, wants a move to the Premier League at the end of the season.
Goal.com understands that an English club had a £5.1m offer for the 24-year-old rejected in January and they are among a Premier League quartet closely monitoring the player’s situation ahead of a potential summer swoop.
Mirallas, who began his professional career at Lille before joining Saint-Etienne and then Olympiakos in 2010, will have two more years left on his contract at the end of the current campaign.
He finished his debut season in Greece as Olympiakos’ leading scorer with 14 league goals, second only in the division to Djibril Cisse, to help steer the club to their 38th league title and has added another 13 strikes in 2011-12.
The 6ft forward is not regarded as a traditional target man and can play anywhere across the front three. His qualities are said to be his pace, technique and ability to support the main centre-forward and weigh in with his share of goals.
