After the 5-0 defeat at Tottenham the Argentine is hoping the Magpies can continue their 100 per cent record at the Sports Direct Arena in 2012

Jonas Gutierrez is hoping that Newcastle United can bounce back from the defeat at Tottenham with yet another win at the Sports Direct Arena, after winning all four fixtures at home since the turn of the year.

The Magpies have seen off every visiting opponent of 2012, including Manchester United, and the winger is looking to carry on this form in order to dispel concerns after the 5-0 demolition at White Hart Lane.

Despite the heavy defeat the Argentine is happy to see that his side are picking up plenty of points on their own turf because he feels their home form is the reason behind their high league position.

"I always say the most important thing for the season is to be strong at home," Gutierrez told the club’s official website.

"And we're doing that this year. When you look at the table, you can see that we're taking a lot of points at home. That's very important.

"Away from home, it's always difficult but we have picked up a lot of points away too. But you must always look to win your home games if you want to do well, and so far this year we have done that."

The Magpies are set to face Wolves and fierce rivals Sunderland in their next two Premier League home games which Alan Pardew will view as hope to maximum points from as they make the final push for European football.
