Poll of the day: Should Carlos Tevez be trusted to play for Manchester City again?
The Argentina international, who had previously been shunned from future first team football by Blues boss Roberto Mancini, is set for a return to training at Carrington today
POLL
With Carlos Tevez set to return to training at Manchester City today all eyes will be on whether manager Roberto Mancini allows him a way back into the first team.
The Italian manager and Argentine striker seemed to have an irreparable relationship, but both men have commented in the past week confirming the 28-year-old forward could yet have a future at the Etihad Stadium.
Tevez’s behaviour off the pitch over last summer – demanding a transfer away from England – saw him removed as club captain after guiding City to Champions League football and an FA Cup victory.
His career with the Citizens deteriorated further when he looked to have refused to play when Mancini asked in a European tie with Bayern Munch in September.
HAVE YOUR SAY
A return to training at Carrington has fuelled debate as to whether the Argentina international deserves another chance at playing for Manchester City, and we at Goal.com want to hear want you think. Should Tevez be thrust into the first team to inject new life into the squad at this crucial stage of the season? Or should he be made to prove his dedication in the reserves first? Or should the striker simply be sidelined and never given another opportunity at the Etihad Stadium ever again?
