Manchester United’s Javier Hernandez eyes 20th Premier League title as motivation to beat Liverpool
The Mexican believes victory at Old Trafford is a must if the Red Devils are to keep up pressure on City, while Chris Smalling is expecting a tense clash on Saturday

Javier Hernandez believes beating Liverpool on Saturday is a necessity if Manchester United are to claim a record 20th league title.
The 23-year-old striker bagged the equaliser for the Red Devils against Chelsea on Sunday, as they overturned a 3-0 deficit at Stamford Bridge.
The Mexico international is under no illusions that the club need to win against Kenny Dalglish's side on Saturday to maintain the pressure on league leaders Manchester City, and has revealed that securing a further title success is ample motivation for the squad.
“To beat Liverpool it doesn’t matter in which position of the table you are – you need to win that type of game,” Chicharito told DHL.
“It’s a lot of motivation to know we can change number 19 to 20. We want to play very well, to win that three points and to keep fighting to the title.”
United defender Chris Smalling, 22, is also expecting an intense battle with fellow England international colleagues such as Glen Johnson and Steven Gerrard, who will line up for Liverpool at Old Trafford.
“You want to win no matter what,” the former Fulham defender admitted.
“We’ll be going all out to definitely put one over and obviously a few of us know a few of their lads through England so it’s even more rivalry."
