Chelsea's Petr Cech admits frustration after letting three-goal lead slip against Manchester United

The Blues goalkeeper felt sorry that his team were unable to gain the three points against the champions, who recovered from going 3-0 down to claim a dramatic draw late on

Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech is unhappy that his team could not hold on to take all three points in their match against Manchester United in the Premier League on Sunday.

The west London side led 3-0 with 50 minutes gone before two Wayne Rooney penalties and a dramatic equaliser from Javier Hernandez saw the game finish 3-3.

Cech told Chelsea's official website: "I felt sorry we didn't get the job done.

"If you are 3-0 up you should be able to win.

"But it was showed once again that you can't take anything for granted in football. Everything can change within a short spell of time."

Andre Villas-Boas criticised referee Howard Webb for awarding United's second penalty after an incident between Branislav Ivanovic and Danny Welbeck, but Cech refused to give his thoughts on the decision.

"I won't comment on it," he said.

"We are not allowed to make comments on referees, so whether the penalty should or, should not have been given, is on others' opinion.

"I have my view but don't want to judge the referee."

The draw left Chelsea sitting 14 points behind league leaders Manchester City, while second-placed United are now just two points behind Roberto Mancini's men.

The general consensus, then, is that Danny Welbeck should be starting up front against France with Ashley Young supporting him. How about Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain? Did he do enough to earn a starting role at Euro 2012?

So, that game gave a few players a chance to impress for England. Who did/didn't? Will Welbeck start against France? Or Carroll? Or Defoe?!

Unfortunately for Northern Ireland, they are trailing the Netherlands 4-0 at half-time. Looks like that one's all sewn up then.

Joe Hart has also been giving his thoughts after the Belgium game: "It was a really tough game, a good run out. I thought we played well, [but] we were a little bit bitty at times.

"But, we came through. Obviously there were a lot of changes so it's good to get the result.

"Belgium are a very, very strong side who are going to be really good in the future. Vincent [Kompany] told me about them and said that they were coming good and I totally agree with him."
