Djibril Cisse, Bobby Zamora or Pavel Pogrebnyak - Which deadline day striker will finish with the best Premier League goal tally this season?

The last day of the January transfer window saw several strikers arrive at Premier League clubs, but which of them will score the most this season?

New QPR signing Djibril Cisse is 2/1 (3.00) favourite to finish the season as the top deadline day goalscorer after netting on his debut for the Hoops.

Cisse, who had scored on his debuts with Liverpool and Sunderland, finished with aplomb just 12 minutes into his first appearance back in English football to take a head-start on his rivals, but he now faces a spell on the sidelines after his sending off against Wolves.

Bobby Zamora, who also completed a deadline day move to QPR, has been priced up next in the betting as a 5/2 (3.50) shot after netting seven times for the R’s West London rivals Fulham this season.

But the striker brought to Craven Cottage to replace the departing Zamora, Russian hitman Pavel Pogrebnyak looks like good value at 4/1 (5.00). Pogrebnyak spearheaded Zenit St Petersburg’s push to Europa League glory in 2008 but found life in the Bundesliga more difficult, netting just 15 times in 68 appearances.

Everton’s €7.2m (£5.9m) signing Nikica Jelavic can be taken at 5/1 (6.0). The Croatian forward struck 31 times in 45 appearances for Rangers, but with Scott McDonald and Kris Boyd starring north of the border after failing to produce in English football, punters should be wary of backing the new Toffees striker.

Marvin Sordell has no Premier League experience but is expected to shoulder the burden of scoring goals in Bolton’s relegation dogfight.

The England Under-21 international is available at 6/1 (7.00) and impressed in the Hornets' FA Cup tie against Tottenham before making the move north.

Spurs made one of the most eyebrow-raising transfers in January when snapping up Louis Saha (7/1) on a free transfer from Everton as a replacement for the outgoing Roman Pavlyuchenko. The Frenchman is expected to be a bit-part player in Tottenham’s title challenge and is unlikely to add too many goals to his season’s tally of two.

Back Pavel Pogrebnyak to be top deadline day goalscorer at 4/1 with Sportingbet.

The general consensus, then, is that Danny Welbeck should be starting up front against France with Ashley Young supporting him. How about Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain? Did he do enough to earn a starting role at Euro 2012?

So, that game gave a few players a chance to impress for England. Who did/didn't? Will Welbeck start against France? Or Carroll? Or Defoe?!

Unfortunately for Northern Ireland, they are trailing the Netherlands 4-0 at half-time. Looks like that one's all sewn up then.

We're still getting plenty of Hazard chat on Twitter. A few are now saying that he's not worth the hype, others saying he was brilliant(!?) and others (which I agree with), saying he created much of his own hype. What do you think? Get involved!

Joe Hart has also been giving his thoughts after the Belgium game: "It was a really tough game, a good run out. I thought we played well, [but] we were a little bit bitty at times.

"But, we came through. Obviously there were a lot of changes so it's good to get the result.

"Belgium are a very, very strong side who are going to be really good in the future. Vincent [Kompany] told me about them and said that they were coming good and I totally agree with him."
