TEAM NEWS: Vincent Kompany ruled out of Manchester City clash against Fulham with injury
Savic returns to the City back-four with Pizarro ready to come off the bench and make his first appearance for his new club, while the Cottagers go with Dembele up-front
The Italian's side allowed their rivals Manchester United to move level on points with them by losing 1-0 to Everton on Tuesday night.
In three changes to the team that started that game, Aleksander Kolarov replaces Gael Clichy in the starting line-up, with Stefan Savic brought in for the injured Kompany.
Adam Johnson is in for James Milner in the other change to the first eleven, with new signing David Pizarro starting on the bench.
Martin Jol has keeper Mark Schwarzer available once again, and also brings in Chris Baird, Dickson Etuhu and Brian Ruiz in place of John Arne Riise, Steve Sidwell and Moussa Dembele for the away trip.
