Louis Saha hails Tottenham confidence & relishes prospect of playing alongside Emmanuel Adebayor and Rafael van der Vaart
The former Manchester United striker is looking forward to getting started at White Hart Lane after making a shock move to Spurs from Everton on transfer deadline day
By Danny Hart
The Frenchman moved to White Hart Lane from Everton in a shock deadline day switch as a replacement for Roman Pavlyuchenko, who joined Lokomotiv Moscow.
And despite an unimpressive first half to the season with Everton, the Frenchman insists everything is in place for him to be successful at his new club.
He told Spurs TV Online: "I like to score goals and I see many opportunities with the midfielders, the wingers, and the way the team plays here, so I just can't wait to get started.
"It's a very attacking side and they always look for movement of the striker. There is quality everywhere on the pitch, from the goalkeeper to the top.
"There is so much quality and confidence about the team's play, it's amazing.
"[Emmanuel] Adebayor and [Rafael] van der Vaart are great players so I can't wait to play with them."
The former Manchester United forward, who could make his debut for Spurs alongside fellow new signing Ryan Nelsen against Liverpool on Monday, also hailed the club's recent progress.
"It's amazing what the club have done over last few years and it's a great feeling to be part of that now," he said.
"I am really excited and can't wait to start. It's a really attractive club and the way they play is really enjoyable to watch.
"When everyone clicks, it's amazing. It's very hard to defend against Tottenham."

"But, we came through. Obviously there were a lot of changes so it's good to get the result.
"Belgium are a very, very strong side who are going to be really good in the future. Vincent [Kompany] told me about them and said that they were coming good and I totally agree with him."
"[Gary] Cahill I suppose is slightly more of a concern for me because it is a jaw injury. We're desperately hoping the CT scan doesn't show any fracture and it's just going to be a bruising situation, which will be bad enough, but won't stop him taking part in the tournament. As far as John's [Terry] concerned he felt his hamstring a little bit. Again it wasn't a major thing when he came off but we still need to scan it just to be 100 per cent sure."
Suffice to say, if Cahill has broken his jaw, he won't play any part in the tournament.
