Jose Mourinho to make spectacular Chelsea return & leave Real Madrid in summer - report
The 'Special One’ has taken the Spanish giants to top of La Liga but is rumoured to be considering a return to Stamford Bridge if owner Roman Abramovich will give him more control
Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho is poised to make a spectacular return to Chelsea according the reports.
The former Inter and Porto boss spent four years coaching the Blues and achieved numerous successes at Stamford Bridge that have been hard to follow.
The Sun have spoken to a source close to the 'Special One’ who said: “Jose would go back to Chelsea.”
However, the source for the newspaper said the 49-year-old would want total control of team affairs and transfers – something owner Roman Abramovich will not easily agree to.
“He knows things are a mess there right now. He also knows it would be difficult to go back and make the same impact as before,” the source added.
“Winning the Premier League title back to back in his first two years at a club that had not been champions for 50 years was incredible.
“That's why he's still loved by the fans and why he still loves the club. They were special days.
“But before agreeing, he would want things very clear between him and Roman Abramovich.
“He would say 'Roman, you are the owner and I am the boss here. Let's work together and the power is in our hands'.
“For Jose, that would be the perfect partnership.”
Madrid are currently top of La Liga – seven points clear of Pep Guardiola’s Barcelona – and are still competing in the Champions League.
Mourinho’s arrival at Stamford Bridge would ultimately mean the removal of current manager Andre Villas-Boas, who cost Chelsea millions of pounds to hire.

"But, we came through. Obviously there were a lot of changes so it's good to get the result.
"Belgium are a very, very strong side who are going to be really good in the future. Vincent [Kompany] told me about them and said that they were coming good and I totally agree with him."
"[Gary] Cahill I suppose is slightly more of a concern for me because it is a jaw injury. We're desperately hoping the CT scan doesn't show any fracture and it's just going to be a bruising situation, which will be bad enough, but won't stop him taking part in the tournament. As far as John's [Terry] concerned he felt his hamstring a little bit. Again it wasn't a major thing when he came off but we still need to scan it just to be 100 per cent sure."
Suffice to say, if Cahill has broken his jaw, he won't play any part in the tournament.
