Gary Cahill already frustrated by lack of opportunity since making Chelsea switch - report
The £7 million signing has yet to appear for the Blues since arriving at Stamford Bridge, with Branislav Ivanovic preferred in the absence of John Terry against Swansea City
Chelsea defender Gary Cahill has become frustrated with a lack of opportunities at Stamford Bridge only half a month after arriving at the club, according to The Times.
The report claims that the former Bolton Wanderers centre-back was disappointed to be overlooked by Andre Villas-Boas for the Blues' game against Swansea City, where Branislav Ivanovic replaced the injured John Terry alongside David Luiz.
Cahill did not challenge the decision, and has not lodged any sort of complaint with Villas-Boas. His performances on the training pitch have become affected, though, according to an unnamed observer of a session on Wednesday, who said that it looked as if "his head has gone".
Having joined the Blues for £7 million, Cahill will be keen to impress England manager Fabio Capello in order to potentially earn a place in his country's starting XI for the European Championship in Poland and Ukraine in the summer.

"But, we came through. Obviously there were a lot of changes so it's good to get the result.
"Belgium are a very, very strong side who are going to be really good in the future. Vincent [Kompany] told me about them and said that they were coming good and I totally agree with him."
"[Gary] Cahill I suppose is slightly more of a concern for me because it is a jaw injury. We're desperately hoping the CT scan doesn't show any fracture and it's just going to be a bruising situation, which will be bad enough, but won't stop him taking part in the tournament. As far as John's [Terry] concerned he felt his hamstring a little bit. Again it wasn't a major thing when he came off but we still need to scan it just to be 100 per cent sure."
Suffice to say, if Cahill has broken his jaw, he won't play any part in the tournament.
