Official: Tottenham complete signing of Everton striker Louis Saha
Frenchman seals move from the Toffees to London for the rest of the season after David Moyes takes decision to let former Manchester United forward leave the club
By Simon Sinclair
Harry Redknapp has swooped for the signature of the former Manchester United man to bolster his attacking options after Roman Pavlyuchenko was allowed to leave for Lokomotiv Moscow.
Redknapp told reporters: "It's a permanent deal, you know its not a long contract but I like Louis Saha, I have always rated him very highly.
"I think he's a fantastic player, good movement can score goals and I think he probably needs a change.
"He's done great at Everton but he's out of contract at the end of the year so David has let him go."
Saha has made 20 appearances for the Toffees this season scoring just two goals and hasn't found the net in his last 13 games.
The Frenchman joined David Moyes' side in 2008 from Manchester United after a string of injuries had tarnished his time with the Red Devils. He played 115 times for Everton in total scoring 35 goals.

"But, we came through. Obviously there were a lot of changes so it's good to get the result.
"Belgium are a very, very strong side who are going to be really good in the future. Vincent [Kompany] told me about them and said that they were coming good and I totally agree with him."
"[Gary] Cahill I suppose is slightly more of a concern for me because it is a jaw injury. We're desperately hoping the CT scan doesn't show any fracture and it's just going to be a bruising situation, which will be bad enough, but won't stop him taking part in the tournament. As far as John's [Terry] concerned he felt his hamstring a little bit. Again it wasn't a major thing when he came off but we still need to scan it just to be 100 per cent sure."
Suffice to say, if Cahill has broken his jaw, he won't play any part in the tournament.
