Out-of-favour Borussia Dortmund striker Lucas Barrios could be on his way to Fulham before the January transfer window closes, Ruhr Nachrichten report.

The Premier League club have allegedly offered between €7-8 million for the 27-year-old. Although Dortmund have officially denied their intent to sell the Paraguay international, a previous report asserted that a bid of 12m would be enough to convince BVB to part ways with the forward.

However, Ruhr Nachrichten report that Dortmund
have decreased their demands to €10m as they hope to avoid disharmony within their ranks in their bid to defend their Bundesliga title.

Barrios was a regular starter for Jurgen Klopp's side two seasons heading into the current campaign, but after a hamstring injury kept him out of action in August and most of September, he lost his starting role to Robert Lewandowski. In 11 Bundesliga appearances this season, Barrios has failed to score once.

Fulham are not the only side to have been linked with Barrios. Earlier in January, Malaga reportedly made a 10m bid, while Marseille also were said to be keen to complete the player's transfer.

Should Fulham and Dortmund not reach an accord on a transfer of Barrios, the Craven Cottage side could also make a move for Bayer Leverkusen's Eren Derdiyok.
