Tottenham's teenage midfielder Tom Carroll completes loan move to Derby
The Spurs youngster has moved to the Championship side in a bid to gain experience after his side's exit at the group stage of the Europa League
By Arthur Virgo
The 19-year-old academy graduate has made seven appearances in cup competitions this season after manager Harry Redknapp sought to give Spurs’ younger players experience in the Europa League but, with the club having exited the competition at the group stage, he now goes out on loan.
Rams Manager Nigel Clough told the club’s official website: "We're delighted to welcome Tom on board. He's a highly-regarded young player and we have monitored his progress for a considerable amount of time.
"He brings another option for us in midfield and it's great he will be around for the rest of the season.
"Tom has already played first-team football at Tottenham this season and they view him coming here as an important part of his development."
The midfielder completed a loan spell last season at League One side Leyton Orient, making 14 appearances, and won his first call-up to the England under-21 side in November.
