Sao Paulo vice-president Joao Lopes: Henrique can still join QPR

The Brazilian club's official has hinted that the striker's move to Rangers has not gone up in smoke just yet, and that the British side must sign the player on a permanent basis
Sao Paulo vice-president Joao Lopes has indicated that there is still a chance Henrique will sign for Queens Park Rangers.

The Premier League side saw their loan bid for the Brazilian fall through on Monday after the Football Association did not give the 20-year-old a work permit.

However, Lopes claims that the FA will allow Henrique to complete a move to QPR, providing the English club sign the player on a permanent basis.

"In fact, his work permit was not denied,"
Lopes told Globoesporte. "The FA would only give him the green light if it was a permanent transfer.

"The FA did not agree to the transfer that had been proposed. Now both parties will meet again to try to come to an agreement."

Henrique was named the Under-20 2011 World Cup player of the tournament after helping Brazil win the prestigious competition.
