Wigan Athletic have agreed a fee with Birmingham City for the transfer of Chilean international winger Jean Beausejour.

The Birmingham Post believe the two sides have struck an agreement for the 27-year-old, but the fee for the Universidad Catolica youth product has not been disclosed.

Beausejour arrived in the UK from Mexican side Club America for a fee in the region of £3.3 million in August 2010 after playing for his nation in the World Cup, where Chile were knocked out by Brazil.

He struggled to make an impact in the Premier League as the Blues were relegated to the Championship, however, he did play his part in their League Cup success, appearing in the final as a second-half substitute as Alex McLeish's side beat Arsenal 2-1.

In all he has made 39 appearances for Birmingham, scoring three goals, one of which was this season.
