thumbnail Hello,

Right-back has reportedly attracted interest from the Premier League champions after the Championship club's route to the League Cup semi-finals went through Old Trafford

Crystal Palace manager Dougie Freedman has played down talk that right-back Nathaniel Clyne could leave the south-London club for Premier League champions Manchester United.

Reports have suggested that United were lining up a move for Clyne before the end of the transfer window after impressing in the club's run to the League Cup semi-finals, a path which included their win at Old Trafford in the quarter-finals.

However, Freedman has insisted that there have been no bids for any of his players, including the highly rated Clyne.

"There has not been one single approach for one of my players, so, so far, so good," Freedman told Sky Sports.

"Professionally, young Nathaniel is fine and our relationship is fantastic. If he is fit and he is on form then he will play as he has contributed to the team's defence.

"We have kept many clean sheets this year and he has been involved in them.

"The game [against Cardiff] may make him more aware to the Premier League but it is something I am not too concerned about right now; he will play in a unit that will hopefully defend our lead."

Clyne is out of contract at the end of the season and has so far failed to agree a new deal at Selhurst Park.
