thumbnail Hello,

The Canaries defended stoutly all match to prevent the Blues from taking the lead, but the 30-year-old forward was a regular menace up front in the Carrow Road clash

Grant Holt has hailed Norwich City's 0-0 draw with Chelsea a "massive result" for the Canaries who picked up their first clean sheet of the season in the draw at Carrow Road.

The hosts defended resiliently all match but they also managed to threaten in attack too, with Morison and Holt crafting a number of opportunities to test Blues keeper Petr Cech.

The 30-year-old revealed the Canaries had adhered to their game plan and was delighted with the performance that the players put in.

“It was a massive result,” Holt told Sky Sports. “We talked all week about getting our shape and staying tight and I thought we were fantastic.

“We wanted to force them wide and we did. If we keep working and playing in that manner we will be okay.”

The result means Norwich have lost just one of their last nine games in league and cup as they continue to impress on their return to the top flight.

Chelsea, meanwhile, are now 10 points behind leaders Manchester City having played a game more.
