Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp: Marseille are unlikely to sell Loic Remy

A blistering performance against Ligue 1 champions Lille is likely to have increased the striker's valuation, according to the Spurs boss

Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp believes Marseille are unlikely to sell striker Loic Remy this month.

Last week, exclusively revealed Redknapp watched the France international score both goals in Marseille's 2-0 victory over Lille and was preparing to launch a £15 million bid for the striker.

But despite the 25-year-old's impressive performance, Redknapp concedes he is unlikely to join White Hart Lane to bolster Spurs' attacking options.

"People have said he might be available but I don't think they will sell him,” Redknapp told reporters.

"It was a good performance [against Lille]. It probably put another £5-6 million on his asking price."

Remy has also declared it was "out of the question" he would leave the club this month while Marseille boss Didier Deschamps was unconcerned by Redknapp's attendance.
