Daniel Sturridge tips new Chelsea signing Gary Cahill to earn regular place in England XI
The striker, who played alongside his Stamford Bridge team-mate during a loan spell at Bolton, believes the centre-back will benefit from partnering John Terry at club level

Sturridge and Cahill played together for the final half of last season, when the striker spent a successful loan spell with Bolton.
And the Blues forward, who has recently broke into Fabio Capello's first team plans, expects the defender to benefit from playing alongside England regulars John Terry and Ashley Cole.
“Gary is very good on the ball, very comfortable, very strong and has good speed," Sturridge told the club's official website.
"He has everything you need as a centre-half and when I was at Bolton he played some great balls for me from the back - it's good to get him here.
“I think if he is playing from now until the end of the season alongside John Terry and Ashley Cole then it should only be the right-back position available in the England starting 11, it would be difficult to see how someone outside of Chelsea could change that as long as everything is going well for this team."
Sturridge also praised Norwich City ahead of this weekend's clash with Paul Lambert's side and insisted his side will not be taking the Canaries lightly.
He added: “Norwich have played some good football this season. The teams that get promoted will give you a surprise, like Swansea outplaying Arsenal last week, the standards of promoted sides have been a bit more than the norm, they all have good attacking players and have shown a lot of quality.
“I didn't play in the game at Stamford Bridge in August, but I remember they created a few chances against us, they did very well. Steve Morison had a one-on-one I think, Grant Holt had a couple and they really pushed us but our mentality showed in the end.
“This time we have to go away and it will be difficult, their fans will want to be there to see them beat Chelsea and it's important we show what we can do and play our football."
Cahill is likely to make his first-team debut for Chelsea when Villas-Boas’ men travel to Norwich on Saturday.
