Blackburn Rovers manager Steve Kean still hopeful Junior Hoilett will sign new contract
The 21-year-old's current deal expires in the summer and his boss is keen to keep him, adamant the winger is still playing for his team-mates despite speculation regarding a move

Blackburn Rovers manager Steve Kean is remaining optimistic regarding the future of Junior Hoilett, insisting he may yet sign a new deal at the club.
The 21-year-old has less than six months left on his current contract at Ewood Park and has been heavily linked with a move elsewhere in the Premier League, but his boss believes he could yet sign on at Blackburn once again.
Kean is adamant that although the speculation may have distracted some players, Hoilett is firmly focused on helping his team-mates improve their current position, highlighting his performance against Fulham as evidence.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Kean said: "I think it's been very public where we are with Junior's contract.
"I think if anyone saw him play on Saturday against Fulham he's playing for the club and his team-mates.
"I've never had a problem in bringing Junior up through the development pathway he's had at the club. He's a top player and we're still hopeful he can be with us.
"If it goes beyond this window and he's still here until the end of the season then we'll have to sit down at the appropriate time with him and tie him to the club because we're developing players and we want to keep him."
