Tottenham, Newcastle & Everton target Jordan Rhodes will not be sold by Huddersfield in January
Terriers supremo Dean Hoyle has promised manager Lee Clark he will not be cashing in on the Scotland international, who has been praised by Manchester United old boy Andy Cole

Huddersfield Town manager Lee Clark has been re-assured Jordan Rhodes will be staying put in January despite mounting interest from Premier League clubs in the Scotland international.
Terriers chairman Dean Hoyle has already rebuffed a £4 million bid from Championship high-fliers West Ham United and he has made it clear to the prolific striker, who is admired by Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United, that he has no intention of cashing in on him.
“The chairman is a Town fan through-and-through and he’s told Lee that there is no way that he will allow Jordan to leave no matter how much money is put on the table,” a Huddersfield source told Goal.com.
“People seem to think that he will cave in before the end of the transfer window but he will stand firm.
"Lee turned down the Leicester job earlier this season to get the club promoted and the chairman is grateful for that and determined to keep his side of the bargain.
"If Jordan was sold then that would be like pulling the rug from beneath Lee’s feet and it won’t happen. The owner has got a few bob to his name and doesn't need to sell."
As well as Spurs and Newcastle, Premier League rivals Everton, Arsenal, Manchester City, Queens Park Rangers, Blackburn Rovers, West Bromwich Albion, Fulham and Sunderland have been monitoring Rhodes.
"Everyone that matters has sat down together and Jordan knows the score and is happy to stay," the source added.
"We have sold strikers midway through the season in the past when Marcus Stewart went to Ipswich and Jonathan Stead wen to Blackburn but that won't be repeated.
"Ideally, Jordan will be leading Lee’s attack in the Championship next season but no-one would expect him to stay if we’re in League One again next season.”
The 21-year-old Rhodes, who joined Huddersfield from Ipswich Town in July 2009 when he signed a four-year deal, has amassed 27 goals for his club this season and made his full Scotland debut as a substitute in a friendly against Cyprus last November.
He has flourished under the auspices of Clark, who brought in his former Newcastle United colleague Andy Cole to coach his striker on a short-term basis, and the youngster clearly left a favourable impression.
“It was great working with Jordan because he was so desperate to learn,” Cole told Goal.com.
“He used to hang on my every word whenever said something so it was an absolute pleasure to work with him.
“He is a really great lad and I’m delighted that he has been doing so well under Clarky. I am sure that he will score goals in the Championship but whether he can do it in the Premier League I’m not so sure because the gap between League One and the Premier League is enormous.”
