Promising Oman international Saad Al Mukhaini has arrived in London for a two-day trial with English Premier League giants Arsenal.

The 24-year-old defender, who is currently on the books of Omani club Fanja SC, is understood to have been recommended to Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger by Oman national team coach Paul Le Guen.

Al Mukhaini told Sport360: "I do not want to lie, but I know I have got a huge opportunity here and I have to trust myself.

"Coach Le Guen has faith in me and he got me this chance, so I have to give my best. It is difficult but not impossible."

Le Guen told The Muscat Daily: "I think Saad is one of the best players in the country and he can play in a big league.

"I had a chat with Wenger some time back and he seemed interested in calling him."

Left-sided full back Al Mukhaini could potentially provide Arsenal with cover for Andre Santos and Kieran Gibbs, who are both currently on the injured list at the Emirates.
