The £35 million striker's struggles in front of goal since arriving at Anfield have been well-documented, but his representative plays down reports that he will quit the clubThe agent of misfiring Liverpool striker Andy Carroll insists that he is happy at the club amid rumours he could be set to rejoin former side Newcastle United.
The 23-year-old has scored just six goals for the Reds since making a £35 million move to Kenny Dalglish’s side in January 2011, leading some to speculate that a return his previous employers could be on the cards.
However, Mark Curtis, the England man’s representative, told BBC Sport: “[Carroll] is happy at Liverpool.”
Goal.com also understands that currently no contact has been made between the Anfield side and the Magpies over a possible transfer.
Carroll’s goals for the club have come in 31 matches since arriving in Merseyside as a replacement for Fernando Torres, who joined Chelsea in a £50m deal.
The Reds are currently sixth in the Premier League table, just one point ahead of Newcastle.
